over the past five years i have cleaned up my appearance and no longer look like an extra from revenge of the nerds. as a result i have received a number of compliments from strangers and interestingly enough they have all been african americans. so either i’m striving to be a jet cover boy or african americans are much more magnanimous with praise than the rest of us.

for all my dexterity, i can never get the spring release bar in place on old fashioned mouse traps and i’m certain one day to loose a finger in one. so i tried the “better” mouse trap, and it is better, for the mouse.

since natalie and i have been together, she has added a second set of pillows, a fleece blanket, one three foot tall bear and a five foot long body pillow to our bed. would it be paranoid to start wondering at this point if i’m still welcome there?
