our attempt to teach our children to speak spanish by having in home, native spanish language child care since they were babies has been on so successful. both our children have great spanish comprehension but neither speak it much.
except logan has a collection of words like the following which she only knows in spanish:
bolso (purse/bag)
princessa (princess)
cenicienta (cinderella)
vestido (dress)
pelo (hair)
in case it isn’t obvious, she knows these words in spanish because she has never, or seldom heard them in english…
