fat cats drove two respected mortgage lending corporations in to the ground, the tax payers foot the bill and they walk away with huge severance packages.
yeah, this all seems too familiar…

i’ve been pondering what to say about the return to the united states over the past week and i’ve landed on this. everything feels familiar.
there were a variety of reasons we chose to live in new zealand for a year, and over the year some things have changed. and i’ve changed some too.
but predominantly everything is familiar and even if i hadn’t fallen in love with new zealand, i think i’d still be wondering where to go next…

i’m not going to return to regular posting until next week but i couldn’t pass up at least commenting on mccain’s choice for vp.
kudos to him for selecting someone who is almost everything he is not: young; female; a true christian conservative; and not a lobbyist-loving beltway politician.
unfortunately the characteristic they do share is fatal, neither is presidential.
