“business is good. the kids are spending dad’s money and so don’t think much of dropping a couple hundred bucks. plus new kids show up every year so business stays steady.”

a local, small business owner when i asked if the economy was killing him.

the business is selling “tobacco” pipes…

the real secret of the nestle semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie recipe is that no two people who follow the recipe on the back of the package create the same cookie, yet every interpretation i’ve tried has been delicious.

i’m having trouble scheduling an event with a friend and i couldn’t say we didn’t have anything going on because there was too much evidence against me, but it feels like we don’t have anything going on.

in light of yesterday’s post a couple of things have occurred to me, first i think i have discovered why joe [not his real name] the plumber [not his real profession] is such a rock star with republicans.

there is a strange irony between lupe fiasco’s “dumb it down” where record companies are pushing “you’ll sell more records if you dumb it down” and the new rnc chairman michael steele launching an “off the hook” public relations campaign.

i thought george bush represented a low water mark, but i have been proven wrong by his successors: sarah palin; joe [not his real name] the plumber [not a real plumber or anything else he's tried recently]; and seriously, now bobby jindal represents the rising star in the republican party.

well, i agree with michael steele the republican party is definitely off the hook; and off track; and off their rocker.
