capitalization matters 2009.10.09

i’ve gotten a fair amount of feedback, some positive, most negative on writing without capital letters.

this by far is the most compelling argument to date, from the urban dictionary on capitalization:

Capitalization is the difference between “I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse..” and “I had to help my uncle jack off a horse..”

I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse..

I had to help my uncle jack off a horse..

Oh, you know I am still laughing at that…and will be for days. You also know I will not be sharing your post with my children. As per usual, I guess, with some of the things you say!

    priceless!

have you found that the positive vs negative feedback seems to correlate to the age of the critic?

has someone declared our present time the age of the critic? it possible to consider it the age of the raging, simpleton hater, but as for usable, thoughtful critique, i don’t see much of that…
