Our guide was born at a Thai refugee camp while his family was fleeing the Khmer Rouge. He doesn't know when he was born or even how old he is.

His father was shot five times in the war and survived. Our guide described an ancient ritual that his father performed that accounted for his being bullet proof.

As he told us this story I was mixed between thinking he was filling time with folklore or possibly, he was suggesting we needed to do the same so we too could be bullet proof.
