When we got to the Villa d'Este we noticed we had arrived just in time to hear the hydraulic organ play. We raced through the labyrinth of house and garden to the Fountain of the Organ anxious to be there before the music started.

Given the crowd and all the other amazing fountains we had passed along the way, we were ready to be dazzled by the scheduled organ performance.

The organ performance was not dazzling, at least to me as I was expecting Disneyesque like water works and possibly a light show...

However, the garden, fountains and pools are dazzling. Surely this garden belongs in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest concentration of fountains per square foot.
